Learn more1993: Foundation of ifa GmbH by Werner Winter and colleagues from the Calorimetry Section of the University of Ulm. The focus of the early years was hardware and software development in the field of measurement technology: Werner Winter developed a PC-based retrofit solution for older PerkinElmer thermal analysis instruments — comprising PC measurement cards (hardware) and a Windows application for measurement, control and data evaluation. A small series of 50 units was successfully brought to market. Further activities included method development for thermal analysis and contract measurements carried out in the company's own laboratory.
1999: Relocation from the "Technologiefabrik" premises to more suitable facilities. Management transferred to Dr Monika Winter and Dr Günther Höhne. Werner Winter joins Daimler AG, where he works for over two decades in research and development — focusing on vehicle networking, electronic control unit development and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). For over 10 years he serves as development project manager for sunroof electronics: multiple electronic generations, 18 vehicle series successfully brought to large-scale production.
2005: Dr. habil. Günther W. H. Höhne steps down from management.
2021: Werner Winter returns to ifa GmbH and takes over management from Dr Monika Winter. He has since led the company as sole Managing Director, combining his expertise in physics, analytical technology and decades of industrial experience.
